Faculty of Management, GLS University organized an International Conference on Advances in Theory, Research and Practice in Management (ATRPM-2019) on 1 st May 2021 on the virtual platform. The prime objective of this 3 rd Research conference was to provide a platform for exchange of ideas between experienced and knowledgeable researchers, practitioners and doctoral students in various fields of economy, marketing, finance and human resource under the theme “The New Normal”.

The conference witnessed a huge participation of over 121 papers of which around 107 papers were accepted and selected for conference after a double-blind review process. Of all the presentations divided within 10 tracks, there were awards of best presentation and best paper in categories of corporate & academics and students. The winners received a cash prize and an e-certificate for the same.

Dr. Hitesh Ruparel, Director in General and Dean, GLS University, Registrar, Dr. Dharmesh Shah - GLS University, Mr. Sanjay Chakraborty – Founder & Chief Marketing Advisor, Esskee Consultancy and Dr. Jasmin Padiya Convener of the conference alongwith the other conveners of the conference, unveiled the four e-books namely, Finance Management in the New Normal, Marketing Management in the New Normal, Human Resource Management in the New Normal and Management in the New Normal from the research papers received in the conference.

To make the participants familiar with the contemporary practice in the advertising world, Mr. Sanjay Chakraborty – Founder & Chief Marketing Communication Author (ESSKEE CONSULTANCY) delivered an interactive keynote session on ‘Role of Research in Advertising Industry’ at the inaugural session. The audience was mesmerized with the knowledge shared discussing the concepts of consumer behavior and consumer insights through various examples of brands like Saffola Oil, Axe Deo, Surf excel and so on.

The valedictory session was addressed by Dr. Rajesh Chandwani, Faculty of Human Resource Management at IIM Ahmedabad. The audience was thrilled to listen him discuss the concepts of human resource management in the current times with concepts like Emotional Quotient and Spiritual Quotient being the prerequisites for today's employees.

The event was a grand success and it ended with all participants departing with a reservoir of added knowledge, new perspectives on research and a contented participation. The participants highly appreciated the management and the quality of the research presented. Everyone present was optimistic about the contribution this research would make in improving the current situation and designing better strategies for all the sectors.
